It was a few days after her birthday party, when Claudia, making her afternoon rounds of the house; ran into Jackson. Taking a step back, fore she always liked to be at arm from her husband, she stammered; “My Master, what are you doing home so early?”
Jackson merely smirked at her, “That it was time, My Moon and Stars, that we talked………about the chauffeur.”
“Oh, I thought you had already made that decision for me, My Master”. She said when she found her voice. She really did not like the idea of Jackson showing up expectedly. She always liked to know where he was at all times. That way, she could try to avoid him.
Laughing, “My Dear, I did, but you do know that everything I do is only to keep you safe”. He replied as he made his way to the corner bar, pouring himself a scotch on the rocks and taking a sip from his tumbler.
“I do, My Master”. Claudia replied, for lack of anything else to say. Not knowing exactly what Jackson’s point with all this was put Claudia on edge. To cover her run away nerves, she idly made a show of checking that her silk was covering everything as it should be. She did want to expose herself any more that she already was even to her husband.
“Well, anyway, I will make this brief as I have to get back to the office” Jackson said with a wave of his hand that held his drink. He crossed the room to her and sliding his hand down her forearm, causing her eyes to find his own. She knew that look. It was a look of possessiveness and lust that was reflected back at her. The thought made her stomach want to empty itself.
Turning her head to stare at the floor to break his gaze, “What is it would like to talk about the chauffeur?”, she whispered; as she returned her gaze to his.
“Not a lot I’m afraid. It’s just that I want to stress to you that he has been extensively researched and he meets all of our requirements. He is someone who is well versed in protecting people. He has combat experience, so he knows how to handle himself in tough, should we say, situations.” He said.
With a sigh he broke his gaze on her and crossed the room to go back to the bar for his second refill. “However, there is something you should know about him. Because of his work experience in military zones, he has developed PTSD, which sometimes exhibits itself in an odd ways. He stutters quite badly, which gives the impression that he is stupid. Mark my words, My Moon, he is anything but stupid. And, furthermore, because of the work I have put in to find him; I am putting this stipulation on you. You will respect him and what he says goes….period. If I hear of, should we say, any difficulty you are giving him; you will answer to me”.
She nodded, “Yes, My Master, I will endeavor to be no trouble.” She said, while thinking what kind of freak her husband had managed to saddle her with.
Jackson pointedly leveled a stare at her, “See that you do. You can expect him sometime this afternoon. His name is Eric. Eric Chambers” He stated matter-of-factly as he made his way to the door.
“Yes, My Master, I will endeavor to please you.” She sighed as the door closed behind him.
